The Old Ambulance Station invited Chony's Art Room in Nambour to curate an exhibition of student artwork, Chony called this exhibition 'Emerging'.
'Emerging' is a collection of artworks both 2D and 3D created by the nads and hearts of students who attend one of her art workshops across the Sunshine Coast.
Classes exhibited include
Chonys Art School for YOUNG ARTISTS ages 7-11 years old in Nambour and Coolum
Chonys Art School for TEENS ages between 12-16 years old in Coolum
Expressive Art Group - an adult art group for NDIS-eligible people.
Monday morning art class at The Coolum Hearts Shed
Brookes Street Kindergarten - funded by the Uplift Program
Evolution ELC in Mooloolaba and Kuluin.
The opening night was hugely successful with the melodic tunes from singer/songwriter Hayden Hack and a Welcome to Country from Nikita from New Dreaming Art. Over 150 people attended the opening night and joy was felt throughout the room.
Chony believes that it is highly valuable to create a community around your business and provide opportunities for this community to come together. Also, connecting people with their artwork on walls within the community promotes a sense of pride.
With thanks to the old ambulance station.
